Beautiful day. Beautiful venue. Beautiful bride. Beautiful Handsome groom. Well, you get the point. I love my job. Add to that a wedding party full of awesomeness & a couple of former brides who were in attendance (including hair & makeup wiz Kylie Buttrey who works at Summer Sun in C d’A—you should check her out), & you have a recipe for a great day for taking some wedding photos.

Getting jiggy with Sara & Kylie, two of my super-awesome former brides!

Back to the wedding posts after an engagement session break. First up is the elegant wedding of Stefanie & Paul that took place at The beautiful White House in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. What can I say other than these are two of the kindest people I’ve had the joy of photographing. There was a sweetness at this wedding that was very unique—of course it’s possible that I was just fooled by Paul’s British accent, but I doubt it.
This was a family & friends celebration where everybody was overjoyed at this union. And although Paul’s parents attended the wedding via Skype, their presence & joy was obvious as well. All of the floral arrangements, bouquet, & boutonnieres were created by The Art of Flower.

Had the opportunity to take family portraits of a great family on beautiful Lake Coeur D’alene. The pictures were a Father’s Day gift from the oldest daughter to their dad. In my opinion, that beats a shirt or tie as a gift. They were a lot of fun to hang out with and it was obvious that they really like being with each other. I think it shows in their pictures.
Thanks to Reagan for her help as my assistant on this shoot.

Later this summer I’ll be the photographer at the wedding of these two which will take place outside at Farragut State Park in northern Idaho. It would be an understatement to say that I’m looking forward to it, though probably not as much as Kylie & Brock.
These photos were taken in the span of a couple of hours in Coeur d’Alene. Obviously, it doesn’t get much easier when photographing couples than when they’re 1) really in love and 2) easy on the camera lens. As you can tell from these photos, these guys fit both of those criteria. We had lots of fun getting these shots and they are a nice prelude to what will be a great wedding.
Special thanks to Gina for assisting as a voice activated light stand on this shoot.
