Weddings are always special. There’s always something unique about each one that makes it stand out in my mind. This one was special because it was an LDS Temple wedding which always reminds me of my own winter wedding 13 years ago to my lovely bride. Even though I didn’t have snow as it was in Seattle, the feelings were similar. Sarah & Jeremy were married in a private ceremony after which we spent some time enjoying the frigid temperatures & freshly fallen snow.

Sarah had been wishing for a white wedding & several days before, it snowed, which led to the ugly spotty patches of melted ice & snow the evening before Sarah & Jeremy’s wedding. So when wedding morning came & it snowed a couple of fresh powdery inches, we all knew we were in for a special day.

Weeks before, I was shooting on Kauai. 80 degrees & sunshine. This was the absolute opposite but just as amazing, since I love shooting in the snow. Some amazing things happen in the camera when it snows. I’ll let you take a look.

Also, I’m starting the photos off with a set of bridal portraits I took of Sarah at the Glover Mansion. Thanks again, Allie!

I’m thrilled to post photos from Andrea & Brice’s wedding that took place on Brice’s parents property in Spokane Valley, Washington. It was a beautiful day & there were only a few threats of unfriendly weather (which delayed the ceremony a few minutes). It was so much fun to photograph every part of the day. I’m still convinced Brice’s dad met with photographers while designing the house because it had so many interesting angles & features that were a blast for me to play with.

Of course, it doesn’t hurt the bride & I both share appreciation for the world’s greatest band, Radiohead.

Everyone was so pleasant. Not that I was surprised about that since we’ve known Brice’s family for a while now. Even still, it always amazes me when everybody involved with a wedding is so gracious even when their stress levels may be peaking, & they have every reason not to. Yet another reason why I love being a wedding photographer.

Thanks Andrea & Brice for letting me hang out with you guys on your wedding day & letting me take some great—hopefully—photos. ;)
