This wedding is a great example of why I’m not a fan of shooting weddings under the time constraints of a 4, 5, or 6 hour package. So many of these photos would have never happened had we been concerned about “getting things done” so the photographer could get out of there. Sometimes things work best when I just take a step back & let things happen. Sometimes the atmosphere along with time is what allows a great photo be taken.
This was a great wedding, full of great moments (you should already know, that’s my favorite part of photographing weddings) & great portraits. Like usual, I dare you to look through Sammie & Darrin’s wedding day at The Glover Mansion & not smile.

I’m so excited to post Aaron & Alicia’s wedding! I flew in to SeaTac from Spokane the morning of this wedding & couldn’t wait to get going. One reason is that it took place at the amazing Landmark Event Center in Des Moines, Washington, overlooking Puget Sound. Another reason is that I was able to work with the outstanding ladies from Bitsy Events. Not only were they great wedding coordinators, but they’re the team who also created the beautiful printed materials for the wedding.
Of course the biggest reason I was so excited for this wedding was that it was an opportunity to hang out with, & take photos Alicia & Aaron for an entire day. It was an incredible day. Hopefully you’ll see that the photos tell that story.
The gorgeous flowers were created by Marine View Florist & the reception doughnuts were handled by Top Pot Doughnuts. Mmmm, doughnuts.

I’ll go to the ends of the earth for my clients. Well, Maybe not the ends of the earth, but definitely Mazama, WA. And that’s pretty close. This day involved 8 hours of driving plus shooting their wedding & I loved every bit of it. Rachel & Tucker live in downtown Seattle but were looking for something a little different for their wedding. The Mazama Ranch House was a perfect choice. They had family & friends fly in from all over the country & world to spend a few days out in the country, culminating in a grand celebration of love & happiness with a wedding in the field & a party on the dance floor.
Another wedding that I dare you to get through without smiling along with the couple. I sure can’t.

Back to the wedding posts after an engagement session break. First up is the elegant wedding of Stefanie & Paul that took place at The beautiful White House in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. What can I say other than these are two of the kindest people I’ve had the joy of photographing. There was a sweetness at this wedding that was very unique—of course it’s possible that I was just fooled by Paul’s British accent, but I doubt it.
This was a family & friends celebration where everybody was overjoyed at this union. And although Paul’s parents attended the wedding via Skype, their presence & joy was obvious as well. All of the floral arrangements, bouquet, & boutonnieres were created by The Art of Flower.
