I’ve had a run recently of being able to photograph the wedding of a service member and it’s been amazing since I really believe they are modern day heroes. I always try to pepper them for stories simply because I’m fascinated with the mindset it takes to do something so selfless. Most of the time, I can’t get much simply because they see it as a duty, not as something to brag about. Of course, I’d never see it as bragging, just as sharing experiences. So when I have the rare occasion of photographing a wedding where the bride and groom both served, I’m almost in too much awe to take pictures.
Fortunately, I was able to push through my admiration and capture some photos of Breanna & Eric’s day. I’ve photographed a lot of happy, emotion-filled weddings. I’ve had some that were equal, but none more so than this one. Laughter and tears permeated every part of the day. What a blessing it was to be a part of.
Arbor Crest, as usual, was a perfect venue. Up on the hill overlooking Spokane, with a flag high in the background, the ceremony was amazing. What a blessing it was to be a part of.
