A short ferry ride from Seattle is the most green island this side of Kauai named Bainbridge Island. On this island is a place that is as unique as any place I’ve photographed. During the school year it’s a camp for kids to learn about nature and during the summer it doubles as an event facility. It’s called IslandWood and it comes complete with a suspension bridge, a cute pond, treehouse, and all the green nature your eyes can handle.
Much like Elkins Resort, its set up is so unique because there are cabins on the property that can host family and friends in the lead up to the wedding day. To me that makes the day a little more special because of all the time everyone gets to spend together in the shadow of a couple’s celebration.
It was a perfect choice for Anna and Aaron’s wedding venue. Surrounded by loved ones in the shadow of the canopy of green trees and just under the lovingly hand-decorated chuppah made the day just about perfect for these two.
