One of the little things I really love about being able to photograph weddings is that there are just some things you can’t plan—not matter how much you might want to. For someone like me who’s photographed so many weddings, it keeps things from getting too rote. I love being able to use whatever’s around to make great photos and capture the day. In the case of Christina & TJ’s wedding, the weather wasn’t going along with the rest of the plans. We were surrounded by days of beautiful weather, but their wedding day was wet.
It also should be said that I get to photograph the best couples who seem to just go along with things like that and not let it ruin their most important day. We were a little lucky that the wedding took place at the beautiful Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes in Spokane and the reception was held at The Steam Plant. So we didn’t have to spend too much time out in the weather, but the little we did, was well worth it.
The whole day was one of celebration with their closest friends and family and it was a joy to photograph.
