I’m pretty pumped to finally (officially) start the 2010 wedding season! First up is Sara & Trevor with their incredible wedding at a private campground in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
Weather was the biggest concern since I had to drive through 3 different storms to get there, but fortunately the rains never showed up & we were left with a beautiful (but chilly) day. There’s not much I can say that won’t sound cheesy about how great these two & their families are (unless you know them). So just insert here all of the good things you can think about someone & double it.
I had a great time with them & appreciated Sara & Trevor’s willingness to trust me with their day (after Sara is a photographer herself). I was honored & I think I came out ahead in the deal.
For the best viewing experience, open up the photos & use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate through the photos.
P.S. Their first kiss as man & wife was actually their first kiss—period. How sweet that it was captured for them to treasure & share.

Beautiful work Matt!! Holy crap. The bride is gorgeous too!
Oh my good gracious these are sublime.
The shots of her dress are fantastic, as are the B&W ones of him getting ready.
The shot of her alone with her crazy beautiful eyes is lovely.

Matt – these are absolutely beautiful. What an awesome way to start the season. I can’t wait for more
WOW! Matt… it’s official. You rock my world. The pictures are incredible! Thanks for all your hard work and just plain awesomeness. :0)
Storms in the pacific NW? Really? These are some awesome images Matt. Vivid & full of life, I’m sure your clients are thrilled.
@Sara (&Trevor) You’re so very welcome. I’m grateful I was able to take part in such a special day. I love all the other comments, but to be honest, yours is the only one that really matters. The fact that you’re so thrilled is all I need.
@Shanna Sometimes awesomeness is all you’ve got.
@everybody else Thank you. I’m touched by your kind words. Makes the hard work worthwhile.
Oh, Matt. These are just incredible.
One of the reasons Sara was so happy on their special day was that she knew, as a photographer herself, that you were truly capturing the moments (if not creating them!). That means not only did you bring her joy on that day, but that you have memorialized it forever with your own special magic.
Yes, we are absolutely thrilled! My only complaint is that we don’t have a gallery wall large enough to hang all the “really good ones”!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Sara would have been so thankful to you for having created a wonderful and amazing photos for their special day. She should have known of your great works that it is why she chooses you. Having to deal with uncertain weather may create total destruction to photography but an experienced person knows exactly how to handle uncertainties. Making use of the creative thoughts is a substantial capability of photographers. Good job for you!
Gorgeous wedding! I love that second-to-last image!
i feel weepy with all this photography loveliness, Matt. Sigh…..
