I’m pretty excited to post these photos from Lindy & Mark’s engagement session in Manito Park on Spokane’s South Hill. I have a feeling that everybody who meet Lindy & Mark feel like they’re friends instantly—at least that’s how I felt. These two were so easy to work with that we had a great time making these photos. Plus they’re pretty dang cute together.

I had the pleasure of [shooting] the Elys last week at Manito Park on Spokane’s South Hill. Talk about troopers. We wandered around the park looking for great places to shoot and all the while the kids were (at least acting like they were) having a great time. Little foot injuries or pangs of hunger weren’t nearly enough to slow down this family.

I really had a great time hanging out with these guys. The kids were so sweet & willing to try whatever I was asking—especially if it was jumping off a ledge while I had my camera on its “machine gun” setting which reminds me a ton of my own girls. :)  My favorite part of these photos is that  the impressions of the  personalities of everyone seems to shine through in the photos.

Then, after our session was over I saw my friend Ana wrapping up a bridal session so I hopped up on the ledge of the bridge (shhh, don’t tell my wife) & took the opportunity to shoot the shooter. That makes up the last photo in this set.

Happy to post these photos from Allie & Derek’s Spokane open house. They were married the week before in Utah & traveled back up to Washington to have an open house at Allie’s parents house & invited me over to take some portraits before the celebration got underway.

Special thanks to the neighborhood kids who interrupted their birthday party to walk through my photo (several times) as I laid down in the middle of the road for the shot. Extra special thanks to Allie & Derek for trusting me enough to stand in the middle of the road as cars drove by us. :)

I’m excited to post the photos from this session because they are pictures of my cousin & his beautiful fiance. They’re getting married this summer at the LDS Seattle temple, but they made the trip out to spokane for our engagement session in the morning. Then after wrapping up the shoot, they drove back over the mountains. This session took place at Mirabeau Park in Spokane Valley.

On the way to the park we got rained on, but luckily by the time we got out of the car, the rain was gone & we had some beautiful weather in which to shoot.

It’s pretty obvious that these are just two incredibly happy people who deserve nothing less than the joy they have when they’re together—which makes my life easy as the photographer—I just get to capture it.

I love ya Chris, but I have to agree with the rest of your family, you lucked out with this one. ;) And to BriAnna, welcome to the family.

p.s. The injury of the shoot was face slivers. Yup, I laid my face (as well as the rest of me) down in a bunch of beauty bark for the shots in front of the waterfall.
