We recently had the awesome experience of being able to photograph the wedding and surrounding festivities of Colette & Jeremy. It was a beautiful, HOT day (remember those? This wasn’t even that long ago) at the Deer Lake Resort North of Spokane. The ceremony took place on the lake shore under the pleasant shade of the large trees.

This was a little different from most of my weddings in that I didn’t get to meet the bride and groom before their wedding day as they were visiting from Portland for their wedding day. Fortunately we hit it off quickly and at the end of the day it seemed like we were all good friends. After putting the camera and gear away I even hit the dance floor for a couple of songs and played DJ (just like the old days) for a few songs. My hope in photographing a wedding is that the photos will tell the story of the day. I think we accomplished that for Colette & Jeremy.
